On April 24, 2023, I was 411 pounds, hiding from the world, and convinced I couldn’t change. My old friend Viki sent me the stupidest thing she could think of for my birthday: a singing pink gorilla to my office.
I took a photo with that stinking, ridiculous gorilla. When I saw the pictures, I couldn’t unsee what I looked like. For the first time in years, I actually saw myself. That stupid pink gorilla didn’t know it, but it changed my life forever.
I lost 140 pounds on choice alone. No diets. No programs. No excuses.
